Recommended Settings

Here are some recommended settings for your PC while running our programs:

— Make sure your ZOOM is at 100% and not smaller or larger

Lately we’ve been having a lot of problems with customers zooming in in internet explorer.  This causes the agent a lot of problems because it’s looking for graphics in certain places and when they’re zoomed in, the graphics aren’t where the agent thinks they should be. We understand if customers need to zoom in while they are reading the news, but while they are using the agent, you will have to set your zoom level to 100% or your agent WILL NOT WORK.

Here’s a little tutorial on how to set the zoom to 100% in Internet Explorer:

First, click on “View” in the menu at the top of Internet Explorer.  Under the View menu, click “Zoom”.  Next click “100%”.  Here’s what that looks like:

— Adjust your monitor/screen resolution and color quality.

1. Right click on your Desktop. Select Properties from the menu.
   
   
   
   
2. Click on the Settings tab at the top.
   
   
   
   
3. Select 1024 by 768 pixels in the Screen resolution area.
   
4. Select Highest (32bit) in the Color quality area. Then click Apply on the bottom right to save changes.
   
   

— Turn your screen saver off.

1. Right click on your Desktop. Select Properties from the menu.
   
   
   
   
2. Click on the Screen Saver tab at the top.
   
   
   
   
3. Select (None) in the Screen saver drop down box. Then click Apply on the bottom right to save changes.
   
   
   
   

— Disable the smooth edges of screen fonts.

1. Right click on your Desktop. Select Properties from the menu.
   
   
   
   
2. Click on the Appearance tab at the top.
   
   
   
   
3. Click on the Effects... button.
   
   
   
   
4. Make sure the Use the following method to smooth edges of screen fonts: box is not checked. Click OK.
   
   
   
   
5. Click on OK or Apply to finish.
   
   
   
   

Trouble with the splashscreen?

Here is how to fix the splash screen problem if it won't go away:

You have to download this splash screen fix program. It is called SplashRemoval.exe

Run the program, this will change your settings for you so the splash screen will stop coming up.
